Group transport for gasparilla shuttles
Gasparilla is the largest single-day event on the Gulf Coast and one of the more difficult transport problems in the state. The invasion and parade close Bayshore Boulevard entirely, the downtown grid goes under event traffic control, and several hundred thousand people converge on a waterfront strip with finite approaches.
Groups here are overwhelmingly social and corporate: office parties, client hospitality, and friend groups who have booked a block of rooms. Almost all of them are drinking, which removes driving from the options list before the parking question even comes up. That is why coach transport works well on this weekend and why the vehicles commit early.
The planning happens at both ends. Getting in means staging clear of the closure perimeter and picking a drop that does not leave your group walking a mile in costume. Getting out means a pickup point agreed in advance, because the crowd disperses all at once into streets that are still closed.

When: Typically late January
Where: Bayshore Boulevard and downtown Tampa
Planning notes
- Closures define the plan. Bayshore shuts and the downtown grid goes under event control. We stage outside the perimeter rather than fight it.
- Agree the pickup first. The crowd disperses in one wave into streets still closed. A pre-agreed point is the whole value.
- Alcohol in the contract. Drinking on board must be written in and carries a damage deposit. Straightforward if arranged up front.
- Book months ahead. This weekend commits Gulf Coast capacity, and it lands in the middle of peak season.

About gasparilla shuttles
When is Gasparilla?
The main parade weekend typically falls in late January, with dates set each year by the organisers. Check the official schedule and send us your dates once confirmed.
How close can a coach get to the parade route?
Not very, and that is by design. Bayshore closes and the surrounding grid runs under event traffic control. We stage clear of the perimeter at a point that keeps the walk sensible in both directions.
Can we drink on the bus?
Only if it is written into the contract, and alcohol on board requires a damage deposit. On this particular weekend most groups arrange it.
How far ahead should we book?
Months. It is the largest single-day event on this coast and it lands inside peak season, so Gulf Coast coaches commit well in advance.
Are you affiliated with the event?
No. We are an independent charter operator providing transportation to Tampa. We have no affiliation with the event, its organisers, or any krewe.
Causeway Coach is an independent transportation provider. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or an official provider for this event or its organizers, venues, or rights holders. Event names are used only to describe the destinations we serve.
Going this year?
Send the dates and your group size. Event weekends commit our coaches earlier than anything else on the calendar, so early is genuinely better here.
