Orlando is the largest group transportation market in Florida and the least forgiving of a bad plan. The Orange County Convention Center is among the biggest in the United States and can hold several shows at once, which means International Drive absorbs tens of thousands of attendees moving between hotels and halls on a schedule. Add four theme park resorts running their own traffic patterns and an airport at record passenger numbers, and the difference between a good shuttle plan and a poor one is measured in hours across a week.
That scale is why we approach Orlando as a routing problem rather than a driving one. I-4 is the constraint on almost everything, the resort loops have their own access rules, and convention centre drop zones are assigned rather than chosen. A group that arrives at the wrong entrance at the wrong time has not saved anything by hiring a bus. We plan around the assigned zones and the show schedule, because that is what actually determines whether your people make the keynote.
Orlando is also the natural staging point for Port Canaveral, forty-five minutes east. A very large share of cruise passengers fly into MCO and need to reach the port, and doing it as a group on one coach is both cheaper and considerably less stressful than assembling a convoy on the day you sail. How long is the trip from Orlando to Port Canaveral?
Roughly forty-five minutes to an hour from the airport, longer from the I-Drive hotels on a busy morning. Sailing day traffic at the port is the part that catches people out, so we plan backward from your boarding window.
Can you run convention centre shuttles on a show schedule?
Yes, and that is how these should be run. Fixed loops between the hotel block and the assigned drop zone, timed to the session schedule rather than to a flat clock, with frequency stepped up around opening and closing.
Do you go into the theme parks themselves?
We use the designated bus entrances and lanes each resort assigns. Access rules vary by property, so tell us which park when you book and we will confirm the entrance and the staging area beforehand.
Do you handle multi-day Orlando trips?
