The event

Group transport for fantasy fest and key west event shuttles

Key West during a festival weekend is the most constrained destination in Florida. One road on and off the island, an old town street grid built centuries before large vehicles, parking that is difficult on an ordinary Tuesday, and event weekends that fill every room from Marathon southward.

Fantasy Fest in late October is the largest of them, and it draws groups from across South Florida who have all worked out the same thing: driving four hours down, finding somewhere to leave a car for a weekend of that nature, and driving four hours back is not the plan. A coach solves the whole chain, and it means the group travels together on a road where getting separated is genuinely annoying.

The practical constraint is what happens at the island end. Coaches use designated staging areas rather than old town streets, and knowing where those are is most of the value. We run the Overseas Highway regularly for tours and charters, so the route, the timing, and the staging are familiar work rather than a first attempt.

Planning notes

  • One road, no alternative. US-1 through the Keys is the only route. Margin in the schedule is the only protection against a delay.
  • Designated staging only. Old town streets will not take a coach. We use the areas set aside for them, which saves your group a walk they did not plan.
  • Book very early. Festival weekends fill accommodation and coach capacity across the whole southern half of the state.
  • Restroom on board. Four hours each way with limited stopping options. This is a full-size motorcoach route.

Event questions

About fantasy fest and key west event shuttles

When is Fantasy Fest?

It typically runs for around ten days in late October, with dates set each year by the event organizers. Check the official schedule and send us your dates once confirmed.

How long is the drive to Key West?

About four hours each way from the Miami area, longer from Broward or the Gulf Coast. There is no faster route, since US-1 is the only road through the Keys, so we build margin into the schedule.

Where does the coach park in Key West?

In the designated staging areas. The old town streets were not built for large vehicles, and knowing where the coach areas are is a good part of what makes the trip work.

Can we do a festival weekend rather than a day trip?

Yes, and most groups prefer it. Multi-day arrangements keep the coach with the group, and driver rest planning and lodging are priced in from the start.

Are you affiliated with the festival?

No. We are an independent charter operator providing transportation to Key West. We have no affiliation with Fantasy Fest, its organizers, or any official event program.

Causeway Coach is an independent transportation provider. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or an official provider for this event or its organizers, venues, or rights holders. Event names are used only to describe the destinations we serve.

Going this year?

Send the dates and your group size. Event weekends commit our coaches earlier than anything else on the calendar, so early is genuinely better here.
