Sailing from Port Canaveral
Port Canaveral is the cruise port that Orlando built. A very large share of its passengers fly into MCO and travel forty-five minutes east on sailing day, which makes the airport-to-terminal transfer the single most requested cruise run we operate anywhere in Florida. Cocoa Beach, ten minutes away, serves as the overnight base for a great many of the rest.
What makes this port genuinely distinct is the launch schedule. Nowhere else does a cruise transfer have to account for a rocket. Launches close roads, draw viewing crowds onto the causeways, and shift on a timetable that can move late in the day. Most sailings are entirely unaffected. Occasionally it is the most important fact about the morning, and it is worth an operator checking rather than finding out.
Beyond that it is a well-organised port and easier to work with than the southeast Florida terminals. The approach is more predictable, the turnaround volume is lower than PortMiami, and the terminals are straightforward to reach. Groups come from Orlando, the Space Coast, Daytona, and increasingly from further afield as the itineraries here have grown.

- Check the launch schedule. Launches close roads and fill causeways, and the timing can move late. We check when a date falls near a window.
- MCO is the feeder. Most passengers fly into Orlando. The airport-to-terminal run is the core booking here.
- Terminals by line. Assignments come from the cruise line. Send the ship name so we stage correctly.
- Easier than the southeast. Lower turnaround volume and a more predictable approach than PortMiami.

From the Treasure Coast
Port St. Lucie and Melbourne groups run north up I-95. A straightforward morning and cheaper than parking several cars for the sailing.

How long is the trip from Orlando to Port Canaveral?
Around forty-five minutes to an hour from the airport, longer from the International Drive hotels on a busy morning. We plan backward from your boarding window rather than forward from the map.
What if a rocket launch falls on our sailing day?
We check the schedule when a booking lands near a launch window and plan an alternative route in advance. Launches close roads and fill the causeways with viewing traffic, and the timing can shift late.
Should we stay in Orlando or Cocoa Beach the night before?
Cocoa Beach makes for a far more relaxed sailing morning at ten minutes out. Orlando has more hotel choice and the parks. Both work, and we run the transfer either way.
Can you take us straight from the airport to the ship?
Yes, and it is the most common booking at this port. We track the flights and go directly to the assigned terminal rather than stopping at a hotel first.
Do you handle the return to the airport after the cruise?
Regularly, and it is worth booking together with the outbound. Disembarkation timing slips, so dispatch tracks the ship rather than working to a fixed clock.
