PortMiami handles more cruise passengers than any port on earth, and on a turnaround weekend it shows. Several ships disembark and reboard inside overlapping windows, the causeway approach carries all of it, and terminals sit spread along a long island rather than clustered at one entrance. None of that is difficult if you plan for it and all of it goes wrong if you do not.
The single most important detail for a group is the terminal assignment, and it comes from the cruise line rather than from you. Terminals here are far enough apart that arriving at the wrong one means a walk that nobody wants to make with a week of luggage in Florida heat. That is why we ask which ship you are sailing on rather than simply which port.
Groups arrive here from everywhere. Miami hotels, Fort Lauderdale and the rest of Broward, the Treasure Coast, and a steady flow of Gulf Coast groups crossing Alligator Alley before dawn. Eight miles from the airport and minutes from downtown hotels. Short in distance and entirely dependent on the day, since turnaround mornings fill the approach well before the terminal itself gets busy.
From Fort Lauderdale and Broward
Around thirty miles down I-95, where the departure time matters far more than the mileage. Leave early and it is forty-five minutes, leave late and it is ninety.
From the Gulf Coast
Fort Myers, Naples, and Cape Coral groups cross Alligator Alley before dawn. Two to three hours on a road with limited services, which is the case for a full-size coach with a restroom.
From the Treasure Coast
Port St. Lucie, Stuart, and Jensen Beach run roughly two hours down I-95. Comfortable for a group and considerably cheaper than parking several cars for the sailing.

How early should our group arrive at PortMiami?
We plan backward from your boarding window rather than forward from your hotel, and we build in the causeway approach. On a busy turnaround morning that queue is what makes groups late, not the driving distance.
Which terminal will we use?
Whichever your cruise line assigns, which is why we ask for the ship name. Terminals here are spread along the port island and being dropped at the wrong one is a genuinely long walk with luggage.
Can you collect us from Miami airport on sailing day?
Yes, and it is one of our most common bookings. We track the flights and hold for the whole party, which is the thing a rideshare will not do when your group clears baggage at different times.
Do you serve PortMiami from the Gulf Coast?
Regularly. Fort Myers, Naples, and Cape Coral groups cross Alligator Alley for sailings here, and we recommend a full-size coach with a restroom for that run.
Is a coach cheaper than parking at the port?
