Sailing from Port Everglades
Port Everglades has a structural advantage almost no other major cruise port enjoys: the airport is under three miles away. That proximity makes it the easiest port in Florida to fly into and sail from on the same day, and it is a large part of why so many itineraries begin here rather than in Miami.
The terminals run along Eller Drive and Eisenhower Boulevard, close enough together to be manageable but far enough apart that the assignment still matters. On a turnaround Saturday the approach roads carry disembarking passengers and boarding passengers at the same time, which is when a coach with a planned staging point earns its cost several times over.
The other feature worth knowing is what sits next door. The Broward County Convention Center is right at the port, so cruise groups and convention groups frequently share the same roads on the same morning. We run both, which means we plan around the combination rather than being surprised by it.

Know before you go
- Eller Drive backs up. The approach fills on turnaround mornings before the terminals do. We plan for the queue.
- Ship name, not port name. Terminal assignment comes from the cruise line and decides where we stage.
- Convention centre next door. Show traffic and cruise traffic share these roads. We plan around both.
- Ten minutes from FLL. Same-day fly-and-sail works here better than anywhere else in Florida.

From FLL airport
Under three miles and roughly ten minutes, the shortest airport-to-port transfer of any major cruise market. The gathering of the group across four terminals takes longer than the drive.
From Broward hotels
Multi-hotel pickups along A1A, Federal Highway, and downtown, sequenced so the first guest is not riding the entire route before reaching the terminal.
From Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast
An hour or so down I-95 from Palm Beach County, longer from Port St. Lucie. Comfortable morning runs that avoid a week of port parking charges.
From the Gulf Coast
Fort Myers and Naples groups cross Alligator Alley, about two hours. Port Everglades is the gentler of the two southeast ports at the far end.

How far is Port Everglades from Fort Lauderdale airport?
Under three miles, about ten minutes in normal conditions. It is the shortest transfer of its kind in any major cruise market, which makes same-day fly-and-sail genuinely practical here.
Can you drop at a specific terminal?
Yes. The terminals run along Eller Drive and Eisenhower Boulevard and assignments come from your cruise line, so send the ship name and we will stage at the correct one.
Do you collect from multiple Broward hotels?
Routinely. Multi-stop loops along the beach, Federal Highway, and downtown are standard. Give us the pickup order and the earliest guest and we will build the run around it.
What about the return trip after our cruise?
Book it at the same time. Disembarkation puts thousands of tired passengers on the kerb inside a short window, and a coach with a known staging point is worth considerably more that morning than on the way out.
Do you serve Port Everglades from the Gulf Coast?
Yes, and it is generally the easier of the two southeast ports for a cross-Florida group. About two hours from Fort Myers with a comfort stop built into the schedule.
