Why groups in St. Johns County call us
St. Augustine is a field trip town in a way no other Florida city is. Florida history is on the curriculum, the Castillo de San Marcos and the colonial quarter are where it gets taught, and every spring the city absorbs school groups from across Florida. That is a specific kind of transportation work, with its own rhythms, its own parking realities, and district paperwork requirements that have to be right before anyone gets on a bus.
The historic district is the constraint that defines everything else. The streets were laid out in the sixteenth century and they have not got wider, so a full-size motorcoach cannot simply drive to the door of most things worth visiting. Designated bus loading areas and staging points exist for good reason, and knowing them is most of the job. Groups whose operator does not know them lose half an hour at each end of the day.
Weddings are the other half of the market, and they have grown considerably. The historic venues, the Lightner and the plaza properties, and the beach and Ponte Vedra resorts all draw couples who want the setting, and every one of those settings comes with the same parking problem. Add the Nights of Lights season, which turns the whole downtown into an evening tour market from November onward, and the calendar here fills from both ends of the year.
Where St. Augustine groups actually go
School field trips
One of the most booked field trip destinations in Florida, driven by the state history curriculum. Spring fills fast, the historic district has designated loading areas rather than kerbside drop, and district paperwork has to be in order first.
Historic district weddings
The colonial quarter venues, the plaza properties, and the historic hotels all sit on streets built centuries before coaches. Guest shuttles from a staging point solve access, parking, and the walk in formal shoes.
Nights of Lights tours
From November the downtown becomes an evening tour market and the parking situation goes with it. Group runs from the hotels and outlying communities are a standing part of our winter calendar here.
Ponte Vedra and resort groups
The resort and golf properties north of town draw corporate outings, society groups, and conference travel. Transfers between the resorts, the historic district, and Jacksonville airport are routine.
World Golf Village and golf outings
Corporate golf days and society outings across St. Johns County, where clubs, bags, and a group that would rather not drive afterward all travel better together.
JAX airport transfers
Jacksonville International is about an hour north and is where nearly every out-of-town group lands. Flights tracked, one meeting point, and the whole party moving in a single vehicle.

Pickups across St. Johns County
The historic district has designated bus loading and staging areas, and the streets around it genuinely will not take a full-size coach. Tell us the venue and we will use the right staging point rather than attempting the impossible.
Ready to price your St. Augustine trip?
Reach us however you like. A person who actually knows the routes answers, not a call center reading from a script.
Spring field trip season and the Nights of Lights window are the two pinch points here, and both book months ahead. Wedding Saturdays in the historic district go early as well.
St. Augustine questions
Can a full-size coach get into the historic district?
Not to most doors, and anyone who says otherwise has not tried. The streets predate buses by several centuries. There are designated loading and staging areas, we use them, and for some venues a mid-size coach or minibus gets appreciably closer.
When should we book a spring field trip?
As early as your calendar allows. Spring here is the busiest field trip season in the state and the good dates go months ahead. Send the date and student count and we will hold a coach and send the district paperwork with the quote.
Do you run Nights of Lights trips?
Every season from November. Evening runs from the hotels and outlying communities, timed around when the downtown is at its worst for parking, which is precisely when a coach is worth most.
How far is St. Augustine from Jacksonville airport?
About an hour north. It is the standard arrival point for groups coming in, and we track the flights so a delayed landing does not leave anyone standing at a curb.
Do you cover Ponte Vedra and Palm Coast?
Yes, along with St. Augustine Beach, Vilano Beach, Anastasia Island, Nocatee, World Golf Village, and Julington Creek. Multi-stop runs across St. Johns County are routine.
