Group transport to LEGOLAND Florida
LEGOLAND sits in Winter Haven, between Tampa and Orlando and not especially close to either. That location is the defining transport fact: almost nobody staying in a Florida hotel is a short hop away, so essentially every group arriving is travelling for it deliberately.
The audience skews young in a way the other parks do not, which makes this one of the strongest primary-school field trip destinations in the state. That brings the usual requirements with it: certificates of insurance at district limits, background-cleared drivers, per-student costings, and a return timed to the bell.
Because it draws from both coasts and Central Florida, the journeys vary from an hour to three. Anything past about ninety minutes with a coach full of primary-age children argues strongly for a full-size vehicle with a restroom, and we will say so rather than quoting the cheaper option and letting you find out.
At a glance
Where: Winter Haven, Florida
Busy season: Year-round, peaking spring field trip season and summer
Typical drive: About an hour from Orlando, an hour from Tampa, 3 hours from Miami
Worth knowing
- Everyone travels for it. Winter Haven is not near the hotel corridors. Plan the journey as part of the day, not a transfer.
- Young groups, longer trips. Past ninety minutes with primary-age children, a restroom on board stops being a luxury.
- Return to the bell. School bookings work backward from the return bell rather than from park closing.
- Two markets, one park. Groups arrive from both Tampa and Orlando. Pickup sequencing matters if they are combining.

Getting a group to LEGOLAND
How far is LEGOLAND from Orlando?
About an hour, and roughly the same from Tampa. It sits between the two rather than near either, so essentially every group is travelling for it deliberately.
Is this a good primary school trip?
One of the best in the state for that age group, and considerably easier to justify than the thrill parks. We hold approved carrier status with three Florida districts and send the paperwork with the quote.
What vehicle suits a class of young children?
For anything over about ninety minutes, a full-size coach with a restroom. It is not the cheapest option and it is the right one, and we would rather tell you that than have you discover it on the road.
Can you collect from two different areas?
Yes. Groups combining from Tampa and Orlando sides happen regularly, and we sequence the pickups so neither party rides the entire route.
Are you affiliated with the park?
No. We are an independent charter operator providing transportation to the area, with no affiliation with the park or its operator, and we do not sell admission.
Causeway Coach is an independent transportation provider. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or an official transportation provider for any venue, park, speedway, or attraction named on this page. Venue names are used only to describe the destinations we serve. Check the venue directly for current hours, ticketing, and admission.
