PGD airport group transfers
A small airport punching well above the town it serves, with almost everybody who lands here heading somewhere else entirely.

PGD airport transfers in PGD
Punta Gorda Airport brings far more visitors into Charlotte County than a county this size would otherwise produce, and almost none of them are staying in Punta Gorda. Boca Grande, Englewood, the islands, and the resorts south toward Fort Myers are the actual destinations, and all of them involve a drive that is longer and slower than a first-time visitor expects.
Boca Grande in particular catches people out. Gasparilla Island is reached by a toll causeway with its own pace and its own rules, and the approach in season does not hurry for anyone. A wedding party or a resort group that budgeted twenty minutes for it arrives flustered, which is entirely avoidable.
The airport is genuinely easy to work with, which is much of its appeal. One small terminal, a short walk out, and a group that stays together rather than scattering across concourses. We meet the flight, load the bags properly, and run the whole party to the destination in one vehicle.

The local constraints we plan around
Everyone is going elsewhere
Boca Grande, Englewood, and the islands are the real destinations. The transfer is the trip, not an afterthought.
The Boca Grande causeway
A toll causeway onto Gasparilla Island that takes longer than the map suggests, particularly in season.
Small terminal, whole group
One terminal and a short walk out. Groups stay together here instead of scattering across concourses.
Spread-out county
Charlotte County covers a lot of ground. Multi-stop drops are normal and worth sequencing properly.

How long does it take from PGD to Boca Grande?
Longer than the map suggests. It is a toll causeway onto Gasparilla Island and the approach is slow in season, which is worth building into the plan rather than discovering with a wedding party aboard.
Do you meet flights at Punta Gorda Airport?
Regularly. It is one of our more common Charlotte County bookings. We track the flight, meet the party at the curb, and run everyone to the resort or venue in a single vehicle.
What size vehicle suits a PGD arrival?
It depends on the destination as much as the headcount. Island venues and narrow resort approaches often favour a minibus or mid-size coach over a full-size one, and we will say which fits.
Can you drop at several places on one run?
Yes, and it is common here given how spread out the county is. Send the drop list and we will sequence it so the last stop is not an hour after the first.
Planning something in PGD?
Send the date, the headcount, and the venue. We will come back with one flat number and the right vehicle for the access.
