RSW to Marco Island group transfers
An hour with luggage on a road that gets slower every year in season. The classic case for one vehicle instead of six rental cars.

Southwest Florida International Airport to Marco Island
Marco Island is a destination wedding and resort conference market, which means the groups arriving here are almost always flying in together and almost always carrying more luggage than a normal trip. Southwest Florida International is fifty miles north, and the drive down through Naples and across Collier Boulevard is one of those routes that has quietly got slower every season as the region has grown.
The maths on this one is not subtle. A group of twenty landing at RSW needs at least five rental cars, which then have to be collected, loaded, navigated in convoy, and parked at a resort where parking is finite and often charged. One coach does the same job once, arrives together, and leaves the resort car park entirely out of the equation.
Because these are usually wedding or conference arrivals, the timing tends to be unforgiving in a way holiday travel is not. There is a welcome dinner, a rehearsal, or an opening session at the far end. We track the flights rather than the schedule so a delayed landing shifts the pickup instead of stranding the group.
At a glance
Distance: About 50 miles
Typical time: Around an hour, longer in season
Best for: Destination wedding parties and resort conference groups
When to leave
We plan around the last flight in the group rather than the first, and stage the pickup so nobody is waiting an hour at a curb. In season we add real margin for Collier Boulevard.
What decides this run
Flights tracked
Send airline and flight numbers. Wedding and conference arrivals rarely land exactly on schedule.
Luggage load
Destination weddings travel heavy. Bays rather than laps, and no second vehicle for the overflow.
Season timing
Collier Boulevard slows considerably from January to April. We plan on the season number.
Resort access
Some Marco properties take a full-size coach at the door and some do not. We check first.

About the RSW to Marco Island run
How long is the drive from RSW to Marco Island?
About an hour outside season, and appreciably longer between January and April when Collier Boulevard is at its busiest. We quote on the season figure rather than the optimistic one.
Our group is arriving on several flights. Can you handle it?
Yes, and it is the usual case for destination weddings. We either hold at a single point until the group is complete or stage pickups across the window, whichever wastes less of everyone's afternoon.
Will the coach fit at our resort?
Most Marco properties are workable, though the porte-cochere is often the deciding factor. Tell us the resort and we will confirm the approach and staging in advance.
Is a coach cheaper than rental cars for the group?
Usually, once you count the rentals, the fuel, and resort parking for several days. It also removes the part where guests navigate an unfamiliar route in convoy after a flight.
Running this route?
Send the date, the headcount, and the time it actually has to happen. We will come back with one flat number.
