Everglades airboat tour
The Everglades is one of the few subtropical wetlands left on the continent, and an airboat is the only sensible way to see the part of it that has no roads. You glide out over water a few inches deep at up to 35 miles an hour, the sawgrass opens up, and the wildlife that spends all day hiding from the boardwalk crowds is suddenly right there.
Our captains have run these routes for years and they talk the whole way, which is the difference between a boat ride and a tour. You get the history of how the Seminole lived in this water, why the sheet flow matters, and which of the animals you are looking at are endangered. After the run you are free to walk the reptile and exotic wildlife exhibits and the swamp yard.
Most groups pair this with transportation from their hotel, which is where we come in. One coach from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or the Gulf Coast beats a caravan of rental cars on a road with no shoulder, and it means nobody in your group has to navigate the drive back.

About the everglades airboat tour
How long is the actual airboat ride?
Thirty minutes on the water. With the wildlife exhibits and the swamp yard, plan on a couple of hours at the site, and about half a day once you add transportation from most of South Florida.
Is it suitable for kids?
Yes, and it tends to be the part of the trip they actually remember. Ear protection is available, and the captains adjust how they run the boat when there are small children aboard.
Can you pick our group up at our hotel?
That is the usual arrangement. We run hotel pickups across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach, and we bring Gulf Coast groups across Alligator Alley regularly. Ask for a group rate when you book.
Do you run if it rains?
Florida rain is usually a twenty minute problem, so tours generally run. Lightning is the exception, and if a departure gets held the captains reschedule you rather than send a boat out under a storm.
Price shown is per person and current as of 2026-08-01. Minimum passenger counts apply where noted. Ace Tours & Transportation, Inc. is registered with the State of Florida as a Seller of Travel. Registration No. ST37258.
